Terms of Service
Last updated: May 20, 2026 · Version 1.0 (initial draft — pending legal review)
By using Catcher you accept these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app. These Terms form a contract between you ("you", "user") and Catcher ("we", "the app").
1. What Catcher is
Catcher is a mobile application for health and training tracking with an AI-assisted coach. The app combines nutrition, exercise, sleep, body measurements, and medical exams in a single place to help you understand your own body.
2. Catcher is NOT a medical device
This is very important. Catcher is an informational tool:
- It does not diagnose conditions.
- It does not prescribe or adjust medication.
- It does not interpret symptoms with clinical value.
- It does not replace a healthcare professional.
The AI coach may be wrong. Metrics may have errors. For any serious symptom (chest pain, shortness of breath, persistent dizziness, loss of consciousness, bleeding, high fever, suicidal or self-harm ideation, etc.) immediately consult an emergency medical service.
3. Minimum age
You must be at least 16 years old to use Catcher. If you are under 18, you need the consent of your legal guardian.
4. Your account
- You are responsible for the information you enter (that it is true and up-to-date).
- You are responsible for the confidentiality of your password.
- An account is for one person — do not share it.
- You can delete your account at any time from inside the app or via this page.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use Catcher to:
- Upload medical data of third parties without their consent.
- Attempt to reverse engineer the app, scrape data, or overload our services.
- Pass the coach's responses as professional medical advice to other people.
- Any activity that is illegal in your jurisdiction.
6. Intellectual property
The app, its code, trademarks, design, editorial content, and documentation are ours or licensed to us. The data you enter remains yours.
7. Third-party services
Catcher uses third-party services (Google Firebase, Gemini, Google Drive, Strava, Withings, Health Connect, WeatherAPI, FatSecret, Open Food Facts). Each one has its own terms and policies, which apply to you when you use that integration.
8. Subscriptions and payments
At the time of drafting these Terms, Catcher is in private beta and offered for free. If in the future we enable a paid model (premium subscription), we will:
- Notify you within the app in advance.
- Handle payments via Google Play Billing.
- Respect Google Play's cancellation and refund policies.
9. Availability and changes
We do everything reasonable to keep the app available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may:
- Update the app, add or remove features.
- Interrupt the service for maintenance or due to force majeure.
- Discontinue features that depend on third parties if those third parties discontinue them.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Catcher is offered "as is", without explicit or implicit warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We are not responsible for:
- Health decisions you make based solely on what the app or the coach displays.
- Data loss due to technical failures, uninstallation, or not having enabled backup.
- Indirect damages, lost profits, or reputational damage.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may terminate the agreement at any time by uninstalling the app and deleting your account.
12. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the country of residence of the primary developer. Notwithstanding this, if you are a consumer in the European Union or Latin America, you may exercise your consumer protection rights in your local jurisdiction.
13. Changes to these Terms
When we substantially change these Terms, we will notify you within the app before they come into effect. If you continue using Catcher after they come into effect, it is understood that you accept the new Terms.
14. Contact

Important note: these Terms are an initial technical draft and must be reviewed by a lawyer before public launch on Google Play.
